UNICEF - TSUNAMI
On December 25, 2004, an earthquake of magnitude 9.0 unleashed massive tidal waves across South Asia and East Africa, killing tens of thousands of people. Mama Media worked quickly and strategically with Unicef to develop a National Radiothon on Corus radio stations across the country. The Radiothon delivered information immediately and vital background on the events and helped Canadians realize that their contributions could make a significant difference. Over $450,000 was raised.
