May 14 - September 1, 2008 (11 weeks)

The summer is hot and the water is cool; make a splash this summer by getting on board with Moose FM On-The-Water. By combining the strengths of radio with direct-to-consumer sampling, this proactive program will pack a punch! Cottage Country is the coolest place to be in the summer – not just for weather but to reach your core target audience. The famous, the hip, the trendsetters, are all here.

Summer in Cottage Country is all about quality, social, family-time in the great outdoors; in other words, FUN! The Cottage Country population EXPLODES in the summer as hundreds of thousands of Torontonians come to play for the season. Take advantage of this dynamic audience and reach them where they spend hours each day, on the water. Bring your marketing plan to life by launching it – on the water!

In recent years, advertisers including The Globe & Mail, Melitta coffee, Wrigley’s Excel mints, and Sun-Rype 100% Juices and Fruit Snacks have reaped the benefits and enjoyed the value of partnering with Moose FM in this truly unique promotional opportunity. Do something different and be where your competition can’t be, as you enjoy category exclusivity with the Moose FM On-The-Water program all summer.

Moose FM Cottage Country Radio Network includes:
103.3 Moose FM (CKLP-FM) – Parry Sound, Georgian Bay, Wasaga Beach, Collingwood, Midland, French River
99.5 Moose FM (CFBG-FM) – Bracebridge, Huntsville, Gravenhurst, Bala, Port Carling, Rosseau, Muskoka
97.7 Moose FM (CHMS-FM) – Haliburton Highlands, Bancroft, Barry’s Bay, Algonquin Park, northern Kawartha Lakes
Moose 93.5 (CFZN-FM) – Haliburton and Minden
105.5 FM Moose FM (CFBK-FM)

Moose FM Mastercraft boats are on the water each weekend covering the three major Lakes (Lakes Rosseau, Muskoka and Joseph). Not only do we attend a wide assortment of on-water events and visit marinas, but we go dock-to-dock to personally deliver samples of your product to highly motivated, active consumers. Nothing will communicate the quality of your product better than putting it directly into consumers’ hands.

As a sponsor, you will receive the following on EACH of the FIVE stations:

  • On each station, a spot bank of 160 X 30” ROS (Mon-Sun 5a-1am) brandsell commercials (to be supplied by client) to air between June 16– September 1, 2007.
  • Inclusion in 10 x 30” promotional spots weekly (total 110 per station)
  • 10 x 10” liners weekly (total 160 per station)
  • Inclusion in minimum of 4 x 60” live cut-ins per week (total 64 per station)
  • Your logo prominently featured on both sides of three boats (total 6 logos).
  • Sampling of your product or items for distribution each Sat & Sun (and Monday or Friday of a long weekend).
  • Category exclusivity for this program.

  • Stimulate trial and interest in your product to increase sales from new and existing customers.
  • Reach Torontonians at a fraction of the cost of reaching them in the Toronto marketplace. For less than the cost of a traditional 2-week campaign in Toronto, your product can be omnipresent in cottage country on-air AND with intrusive promotional support for the ENTIRE SUMMER.
  • The cruisers add credibility and excitement when they attend an event or retail location.
  • Strong visual awareness with your logo prominently featured on both sides of each vehicle reinforces brand recognition with consumers.
  • Teaming up with Moose FM gets you into places/venues/events that you may not be able to get into on your own.
  • By partnering with other businesses that share a similar target audience, you will benefit from a “halo” effect of brand equity.
  • Exciting and fun on-site visits will impress retailers, help drive traffic to their venue and encourage them to devote more attention to your brand.
  • Couponing from Moose FM Community Cruisers will stimulate a strong call-to-action. Coupons may be used strategically to improve relations with a single banner, to drive traffic to your storefront locations, promote trial of a new brand, encourage pantry loading, etc.
  • Live cut-ins from the Moose FM Community Cruisers will bring the brand to life and allow for greater depth of communication.
  • Solidify brand loyalty by saturating Cottage Country on-air and face-to-face with tens of thousands of your prospects.

  • Produce all required on-air elements (tags, promotional announcements).
  • Hire, train, and pay for all required staff in each market.
  • Supply on-air talent for live cut-ins.
  • Assume responsibility for, and costs of, placing your logo on both sides of boat.
  • Cover all costs associated with the boats including lease, gas, insurance, and liability.
  • Provide complete wrap-up report including list of events attended, photographs, written summary, and CD of on-air announcements.

  • Supply any and all copy points required.
  • Provide sufficient product to sample and/or give away. Exact quantities to be confirmed.
  • Supply artwork for decals.
